ASSAY PRINCIPLE

Point-of-care Hantaan® is a simple ready-to-use rapid test for the detection of Hantaan virus infection from plasma, serum of blood. Point-of-care Hantaan® detects Hantaan virus specific IgM antibodies that react to the purified nucleocapsid protein of the Hantaan virus. Since only the IgM class antibodies are reactive, the test only detects an acute infection. IgG antibodies do no interfere with the result.
