INTENDED USE

An in-vitro enzyme immunoassay for the detection of anti-Parvovirus IgG B19 antibodies in human serum and plasma.

ASSAY PRINCIPLE

The Biotrin International Parvovirus B19 IgG Enzyme Immunoassay is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the detection of IgG class antibodies to Parvovirus B19 in human serum and plasma. Specific Parvovirus B19 IgG antibodies, present in serum or plasma will bind to the microassay wells coated with a purified parvovirus B19 recombinant VP2 protein.

Following a wash step, peroxidase-labelled rabbit antihuman IgG is added which binds to the human Parvovirus B19 IgG present. The whole complex is then detected by addition of substrate (TMB) which turns blue in the presence of peroxidase. A stable yellow end product is achieved by the addition of a stopping reagent.
